&sp; Asuka Langley was introduced when having to face an aqatic angel, Asuka and Shinji go out to fight it and win. She is known by Shinji as Rookie and she is very competitive. In one episode her Sync Ratio gets droped and Misato explains it as "Asuka is not feeling well today" You will have to see that episode to find out what fully happens but it all does not happen in about 8 days. She has visions about her mother and decides as a small child to be responsable and has a university education at only 14. She teaches Shinji about some things but claims she cannot do her schoolwork because she is not fully knoledgable in the Japanese Kanji used.
